Sheldon M. Chumir, (1940-1992), was a Rhodes Scholar, tax lawyer, rock concert promoter, politician, civil libertarian, public interest advocate, professor, businessman, civil libertarian and member of Alberta’s Legislative Assembly (1986 – 1992).
Founder of the Alberta Civil Liberties Association, he was a tireless supporter of public education, civil rights
